Larissa Lismont, second violin
1. Name
Lismont
2. First name
Larissa
3. Date of birth
December 17 th 1983 (sagitarius), Belgian origin
4. How long have you played the violin?
Since the age of three. As I was a big fan of a television broadcast with young musicians, I fancied the violin and it never stopped.
5. Brothers and sisters:
I have a little sister, who has no musical talent at all. Her slogan is “Long live physical training”
6. Musical inheritance from:
My mother, she studied the piano at the conservatory and she played Chopin before I was born.
7. Who influenced you in your music?
All of my teachers, as well as the great soloists I heard playing at concerts.
8. Are you busy fulltime with your music?
Of course, this is my life and I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
9. Favourite artist:
Anouk, especially her latest album.
10. Are you ambitious?
Yes, I think it’s normal. I’m prepared to sacrifice anything to succeed in the music business
11. How do you spend the day?
I don’t get up too late, then I spend the rest of the day playing the violin (between 6 to 8 hours a day at least) as I don’t have theoretical courses at the conservatory. I also give violin lessons three times a week At night I like to watch television and I like to spend the evening with my boyfriend, unless he has to work, he is also a musician and has a lot of concerts.
12. What do you want to achieve with your music?
I hope to get people to enjoy to make music and that I will have a long career with the Exclusive Strings, with a lot of concerts. I would like to play in a professional symphonic orchestra. You should know that “classical” musicians have a tendency to look down on you when you play “popular” music, I really wouldn’t like this.
13. Musical background and education
From the age of 3, Larissa holds a great attraction for music, especially the violin. Her parents enrol her in a music school in the Huy region, where they accept the little ones. She takes classes in this school for about 4 years and takes private lessons with her professor.
5 Years old, she enters a contest “the young violinists” where she wins a price in the category ‘music ensemble”.
